ASG’s trommel separator was designed specifically for recycling PET bottles. It is designed for removing small rigid materials such as broken glass, metals, wood, paper/cardboard, and other residuals from a stream of post-consumer PET bottles before they are granulated into PET flakes.
How It Works
The basic principle behind how a trommel work is quite simple. PET bottles are fed into the trommel, a large rotating cylindrical tunnel lined with holes slightly smaller than the plastic bottles, usually via a conveyer system. As the bottle pass through, rigid materials that are smaller than the holes will fall trough while the PET bottles remain and moves onto the next piece of recycling equipment. The trommel is tilted at an angle, usually around 15 degrees, so the bottles will slide downwards. To further guide the PET bottles, flaps are mounted within the trommel to push the bottles forward.

Placing An Order
For single machinery orders, the lead time is generally 30 days. For complete PET recycling lines, the lead time is generally between 60 – 90 days. For custom projects, the lead time will be based on the complexity of the project. The above are estimated lead times, final lead times will be based on the number of equipment we have in queue at the time of your purchase.
