Used after the mechanical drying system, the thermal dryer uses hot air (much like a hair dryer) to further dry PET flakes to below 1% moisture content. As this is one of the last pieces of recycling machinery used in our PET bottle recycling line, the resulting PET flakes are clean, dry, and ready to be further process or sold at high values.
How It Works
Partially dried PET flakes from the mechanical dryer are vacuumed out and sent to the thermal drying system via a transport blower. In essence, our thermal drying system is an extensive, lengthly tunnel made from stainless steel. As the PET flakes enter the dryer, the flakes are mixed with hot air while traveling through the spiral tubing. This process effectively dehydrates the PET flakes to below 1% moisture. The exiting PET flakes are sent to a product silo for storage.
Please note that while 1 set of thermal dryer is generally enough, the usage of 2 or 3 sets can be used for improved performance. This is especially true for high capacity PET bottle recycling lines.

Placing An Order
For single machinery orders, the lead time is generally 30 days. For complete PET recycling lines, the lead time is generally between 60 – 90 days. For custom projects, the lead time will be based on the complexity of the project. The above are estimated lead times, final lead times will be based on the number of equipment we have in queue at the time of your purchase.
