ASG’s mechanical dryer has the unique ability to quickly and efficiently remove large portions of water from a slurry stream of PET flakes directly after the washing process of our PET bottle recycling lines. This essential step can remove enough water so moisture content of exiting flakes is approximately 15-20%. To fully dry the PET flakes, our specially designed thermal drying machines are used.
How It Works
Our mechanical dryer uses centrifugal force to spin away water moisture while keeping the PET flakes within via a mesh screen. This piece of recycling machinery, in structure, is actually very similar to our PET flakes washing machine. Sometimes referred to as a “horizontal centrifuge”, a lengthly shaft mounted with tilted paddles are used to propel the slurry steam of PET flakes against a mesh screen cylindrical tunnel that surrounds it.
The shaft spins at nearly 1,000 rotations per minute and continuously throws the PET flakes outwards within the drying chamber against the mesh screen. Water exits through the tiny holes and is recycled for use in the washing process. The PET flakes held within exits and moves onto the next piece of machinery, our thermal drying system.

Placing An Order
For single machinery orders, the lead time is generally 30 days. For complete PET recycling lines, the lead time is generally between 60 – 90 days. For custom projects, the lead time will be based on the complexity of the project. The above are estimated lead times, final lead times will be based on the number of equipment we have in queue at the time of your purchase.
