ASG’s fully automatic PET bottle recycling line is a professionally designed and manufactured wash line for effectively recycling whole, post-consumer PET bottles into high quality, hot-washed PET flakes. To accomplish this, various pieces of high-tech recycling machinery are used in a step-by-step process starting from size reduction, label and bottle cap separation, hot and cold water washing, mechanical and thermal drying, to finally packaging.
We offer an “all-in-one” solution to a PET recycling plant that not only operates in a highly efficient manner in terms of utilities usage and the numbers of operators, we promise precision machinery made from the highest quality parts resulting in unmatched durability. The end result is simple, your PET bottle washing plant will be pumping out tons after tons of high quality bottle flakes months after months, and years after years.
Finally, ASG’s standard PET recycling lines are available in various capacities starting from 500 KG/HR to 3,000 KG/HR. Higher capacities can be managed, please contact a sales representative for more details.
ASG’s PET Recycling Line – Machinery Overview

Bale Opener As most post-consumer PET bottles come in baled form, bundled together in large rectangular blocks tied together with metal wiring, a machine is required to break open the bales so the bottles can move to the next machinery in a free flowing stream. Trommel for PET Recycling A slow rotating cylinder lined with holes and tilted at an angle, a trommel is an excellent piece of machinery for separating material based on size. ASG’s trommel is designed specifically for use in PET recycling where the mesh size, tilt angle, and rotation speed are optimized for removing small rigid materials such as paper/cardboard, metals, broken glass, rocks, and more from a free flowing stream of PET bottles. Wet Granulator Our heavy-duty wet granulators cut whole PET bottles into PET flakes between 12-18mm in size. As water is added during the cutting process, the wet granulator is actually the first step in the washing process. Wet Granulator detailed specifications. |

Plastic Bottle Label Remover ASG’s label remover resolves one of the largest headaches in PET bottle recycling process, the removal of PE/PE/PVC labels that are wrapped around the bottles. Our label remover accomplishes this via an air classification system. Plastic Bottle Label Remover detailed specifications. |

Separation Tank ASG’s sink/float separation tank separates plastic type by specific weights / densities. More specifically in PET recycling, PET/PVC plastic will sink to the bottom of the tank while PP/PE (plastic type used to manufacture bottle caps) will float to the top. Separation Tank detailed specifications. |

Hot Wash System for PET Flakes To effectively clean PET flakes to produce “hot washed pet flakes”, a hot wash system is required to remove glues from labels, oil/grease, and other left-over residues. The resulting PET flakes are of higher value especially when compared to “cold washed PET flakes”. Hot Wash System for PET Flakes detailed specifications. |

PET Flakes Washing Machine Our high efficiency, high-speed friction washing machine is designed specifically for PET recycling. PET flakes are spun within the washing chamber at high speeds causing friction between individual pieces to effective scrub off dirt and other hard to remove residues. PET Flakes Washing Machine detailed specifications. |

Mechanical Dryer The first step in our two-step drying process, the mechanical dryer uses centrifugal force to remove a large portion of water from the slurry flow of PET flakes directly after the washing process. It’s fast, efficient, high capacity, and ideal for any PET recycling plant. Mechanical Dryer detailed specifications. |

Thermal Dryer for PET Flakes The second step in our two-step drying process, the thermal dryer uses hot air to evaporate leftover moisture from a stream of partially dried PET flakes (from the mechanic dryer). Usually speaking, moisture content is controlled to be within 1% where dried flakes are stored within a stainless steel silo. Thermal Dryer for PET Flakes detailed specifications. |

Installation & Warranty
All PET bottle recycling lines from ASG Recycling Machinery comes with a detailed installation guide and operations manual. Based on our recommendations, you can purchase replacement parts at the time of purchase or afterwards. All replacement parts are sold as per our manufacturing cost with no added profits. Additionally, all machinery and parts come with an 1 year limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
Our PET recycling lines also comes with an additional installation package where our engineers (one electrical and one mechanical) can travel to your facility and install the recycling line for you. We also offer routine maintenance programs as well as operations consultants that can ensure your PET recycling plant runs smoothly year and year.
Lead Times & Ordering
For complete PET recycling lines, the lead time for completion is generally between 60 – 90 days. For custom projects, the lead time will be based on the complexity of the project. The final lead time will be based on the number of equipment we have in queue at the time of your purchase.
